Madison is an Oregon native with a winding path to California's Sacramento Valley. She started school in Southern California, spent a year in Paris, France studying wine and culture, and graduated from Baylor University before eventually settling down alongside her husband, a valley native, where together they are raising three small kids.

In 2015, Madison designed and built her first fully custom home. This project laid the foundation for her design career and led to the launch of Dakota Consulting + Design, in 2019. She comes from a family of contractors, and that background shows in the way she works: equally at home discussing framing and rough-in on a job site as she is presenting finishes to a client. That fluency between the technical and the aesthetic is what keeps projects moving instead of stalling in translation.

For Madison, every project starts with the site itself, not a mood board. She prioritizes functionality and livability without compromising aesthetic beauty or lasting quality. At the end of the day, what drives her most is the people — the chance to connect with clients and make a lasting impact on what is often one of their most important investments.
